Me, trying to open a bag of cereal. My thumbs hyperextend so far I can’t really exert any force on the bag, so it’s impossible to “grasp” things. I use tools a *lot* to help me—scissors to cut bags, needle nose pliers to grasp or pull, etc.
I have some ring splints I sometimes wear, but they can press into other parts of my fingers/thumbs (they basically transfer the force) which irritates my skin. It’s also hard to size them—one of the ways my body tries (not very effectively) to dump heat is with skin swelling, so my finger sizes change literally from minute to minute by a large amount.
